TAKE THE CLIMB -Geri Bartusch

Why go back to school after you retire? According to Ellen Freudenheim, baby boomers are returning to school for several reasons. She listed twelve reasons in her article but I returned to live out my dream. I retired after 30 years and was inspired to go back to school and "take that climb". I believe everyone needs a little inspiration, hope and to be able to visualize that your dreams are within reach, no matter what your age, if you just take that first step. The ladder represents one step at a time. Just make that climb and imagine where you will be once you reach the top.
I believe this image helps to imagine your goals as a reality and a definite possibility. IMAGINE!! It's all possible.

  1. If you start the climb up a ladder, you never know how far you can go. You just have to start to find out. This is great!!

  5. I like the motivational message in your art - definitely speaks to everyone who has ever had a goal! I also like the use of light in the upper left corner - adds another dimension to the mural.

  8. Interesting piece. It's a cool concept but perhaps it should have fit better on the wall and not across the whole image. -Frederick Ghosn

It just doesn't look like it's on the wall.

  14. Nicely done. Although for some reason there's the tree over on the left that it seems to be going over. If you happened to copy and paste the tree onto a layer above, then it would look more like it's on the building. Other than that, it seems pretty good.

  17. I love the inspirational message that this can give us older
students. More motivation to keep learning regardless of past hurdles and accomplishments. Keep reaching and stretching.
