Well I love churches for their architecture aspect. The ceilings can be some of the most amazing pieces of art. I am a bit of a nomad and live all over the place. Just spent a year & 1/2 in Germany. I believe this photo came from a church in Portugal. So the trompe d'oiel or something that looks real but is not is quite intriguing to me. I wish I could have something like this in my office space. Always wanted to bring the outside in. So for those of you that may not know about the Catholic churches, most of them have this type of opening that represents the eye of God watching down upon you.

Your piece was well done and I felt like I was in a Cathedral in Rome. Nice job

This is very cool. Like Geri stated, it makes it feel like a Cathedral or official building!

It's neat how your mural interacts with the sky above it! Gives it a really cool effect!

Very 3D-like and more of an interactive feeling mural. Love the concept and how it makes me feel like I'm somewhere else looking up (I feel like I'm back at the Parthenon in Rome!)

ReplyDeleteThe circular image fits well and makes it look more fun. Bright and exciting! -Frederick Ghosn
ReplyDeleteThis would make this "wall" more appealing and give it a much more refined look.

This is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt almost seems as if there was and actual hole on that ceiling that a bird could go through.
Well done.

Makes the viewer want to strive to see what is beyond that opening and their own confines. Nice job.

That's the Oculus of the Pantheon in Rome.

Also, it's more of a temple than a church.
ReplyDeleteGood idea for fun.
